Re 4/4 II - the Swiss classic

With 277 units built, the Re 4/4 II is SBB's largest locomotive series. The locomotive 11181 shown here belongs to the second series and was used to advertise the canton of Aargau. Under the motto "Zugkraft Aargau", it promoted the region's living and economic area together with business partners. Even after the logos were removed, the locomotive remained active on the route network until 2004.
