Description

The 185.2 series is an electric dual-system locomotive with a crash-optimized locomotive body from Bombardier Transportation. It can be used on both the 15 kV/16 2/3 Hz and 25 kV/50 Hz AC voltage systems commonly used in Europe. The first locomotive of this type was handed over to Deutsche Bahn in January 2005. By 2009, 202 locomotives of the 185.2 series had been delivered to DB AG.
