Are you looking for a powerful Swiss classic for your N scale layout? The SBB Ae 6/6 11407 "Aargau" is one of the best-known Gotthard locomotives of the post-war period - here as a modernized model with sound, Next18 interface and numerous fine details. A real highlight for all fans of Alpine trains!
As the successor to the legendary Crocodiles, the Ae 6/6 was procured by the SBB from 1952 as a universal locomotive - primarily for demanding use on the Gotthard. Each locomotive was given the coat of arms of a Swiss canton or city and thus became a "heraldic locomotive". The locomotive 11407 shown here bears the coat of arms of the Canton of Aargau and is painted in classic green.
Fleischmann has completely revised the model: A new, powerful motor, the finest windscreen wipers as etched parts, separately applied components and filigree pantographs with innovative attachment characterize this model. In digital mode, both headlights/tail lights and driver's cab lighting can be switched. The standard Next18 decoder provides true-to-original sound functions.
With four powered axles, two traction tires, flywheel mass and finely tuned gearing, the model offers the best running characteristics - even in demanding operation. Thanks to the NEM 355 coupler with close coupling link, the locomotive can be coupled to suitable wagons without any problems. The LED lighting corresponds to the typical Swiss light change.
The Fleischmann 7570037 Ae 6/6 is a true icon of Swiss rail traffic and should not be missing from any SBB train collection. Now available in the model railroad store - for powerful Alpine traffic with historical flair!
