With the Fleischmann 7570071, the famous "crocodile locomotive" E 94 003 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn is presented in a particularly elegant and powerful-sounding version. This N-gauge model shows the locomotive in the condition of Era II - with elaborate decorative lines, white wheel tires and many intricate details. Equipped with a digital decoder and extensive sound functions, this locomotive brings a realistic operating atmosphere to your layout.
The E 94 was developed from the end of the 1930s by AEG in Berlin-Hennigsdorf for heavy freight train service, especially over the Brenner Pass. Thanks to their wartime credentials, 145 of the 285 locomotives originally ordered were built despite scarce resources. With up to 3,900 kW starting power and a top speed of 90 km/h, it was considered a technical masterpiece of its time.
The model has a digital decoder with NEM 651 interface and offers digitally switchable sound functions, including typical locomotive sounds. Two of the four powered axles are equipped with traction tires. A flywheel mass ensures particularly smooth running characteristics. The LED headlights (double) that depend on the direction of travel also make the locomotive look authentic in operation.
With a running length of 116 mm, the locomotive is ideal for classic freight trains of Era II. Thanks to the NEM 355 shaft with close coupling kinematics, it can be safely connected to other wagons. Free-standing grab irons, filigree roof lines and many applied details underline the high standard of the model.
The Fleischmann 7570071 E 94 003 is the perfect combination of faithfulness to the original, attention to detail and modern digital technology. Now available in the model railroad store - for all those who want to experience the "German Crocodile" in all its beauty and with sound.
