Are you looking for a unique highlight for your Era IV layout? With the 6-part diesel multiple unit VT 601 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn, Fleischmann brings a vehicle steeped in history to the rails - as an IC "Max Liebermann" in 1990 condition, finely detailed and with factory-installed LED interior lighting!
In the summer of 1990 - shortly before reunification - the Deutsche Reichsbahn leased a former TEE VT 601 multiple unit as a ten-car set to be used as the IC "Max Liebermann" in scheduled service between Hamburg and Berlin. From August 1 to September 29, 1990, this train was a symbol of the growing cohesion between East and West - in the footsteps of the legendary "Flying Hamburger" of the 1930s.
The set contains two power cars (one motorized) and four matching middle cars in authentic DR design. The vehicles are prototypically painted and lettered, have detailed interior fittings and factory-installed LED interior lighting for realistic operational representations - even at night.
The motorized power car is equipped with a 3-pole motor, flywheel, two powered axles (two of which have traction tires). The LED headlights change depending on the direction of travel. The locomotive can be subsequently digitized via the NEM 651 interface. The in-house coupling ensures a secure connection between the car units.
The Fleischmann 7760010 diesel multiple unit train set brings a real piece of contemporary history to your N-gauge layout. Can be ideally combined with the add-on set item no. 7760011 for a complete ten-car set. Now available in the model railroad store!
