The Fleischmann 7770003 N-gauge ICE 2 multiple unit is a detailed replica of the well-known German high-speed train in its modernized version with the redesign look from 2005. This 4-piece set combines realistic digital sound functions with modern technology and authentic design.
The ICE 2 was developed to ensure maximum flexibility in operation. As a half train consisting of a class 402 power car, several middle cars and a control car, it offers a wide range of possible uses. Two half-trains can be coupled to form a full set, with control cars preferably coupled to control cars. This allows the power cars at the ends of the train to reach a maximum speed of 250 km/h.
The power cars of the 402 series differ from earlier ICE generations by their modified front, which can be opened for coupling. The driving trailer is also equipped with this modern front. As part of the 2005 redesign, the end cars were given a characteristic green stripe, symbolizing their affiliation with Deutsche Bahn AG and its sustainability efforts.
