Fleischmann 838309 Großraum-Schiebewandwagen "Transwaggon", SBB, Ep. VI Product Details

Description

About the model: The large-capacity sliding wall car of the Habbinins design with "Transwaggon" lettering is of the SBB design and is from Era VI. The N scale model is characterized by its finely detailed design and the separately applied grab irons.

About the prototype: When things get sensitive - these spacious cars are equipped with sliding walls that can be moved by one person. When open, access to half the loading area is possible from both sides. Loading and unloading with forklift trucks is therefore possible both from a ramp and from ground level. The trolley is particularly suitable for transporting paper rolls, cellulose, sawn timber, wood and fiberboard as well as palletized goods. To secure the load of horizontal paper rolls, the trolleys are equipped with 24 metal quick-release securing wedges, which are stored in storage compartments in each end wall when not in use. The underframe consists of long beams, end sections and four closed boxes connecting the two long beams. The floor in the header area is made of checker plate.
