The model is distinguished above all by its large brakeman's cab. The accessory parts were completely redeveloped for this car and prototypical. For example, the tail pulley holders are beveled in 2 dimensions and the crank rod is more detailed than ever before.
Prototype Information: The postal refrigerator cars were built in several construction lots in various car factories, such as Niesky and Wismar, between 1927 and 1930 for the German Reichspost. Several slightly different designs were realized. The cars were used to transport butter in 5 kg pieces. There is pictorial evidence of their use in mail trains and passenger trains. Up to 4 of these cars were hung one behind the other.Due to the maximum speed of 90 km/h, it is also conceivable that they could be used in fast trains, such as express freight, refrigerated trains and light freight trains in combination with, for example, leigthweight units. After the war, the cars remained with both German postal administrations. In both cases, they were rebuilt and adapted to the desired conditions. Their service extends into the 1970s.
