About the model: Hobbytrain presents the BR 248 Vectron DM Northrail dual-power locomotive, belonging to Era VI. The model was produced true to the original on a scale of 1:160 and impresses with detailed paintwork and the finest printing. About the prototype: The latest member of the Vectron family - the Vectron Dual Mode - combines the advantages of a fully-fledged diesel locomotive with those of electric locomotives. Thanks to the powerful diesel drive and the equipment for using the overhead contact line, the locomotive can react flexibly to traction requirements at any time.In cities and conurbations, the issue of environmental pollution is becoming increasingly important. The Vectron Dual Mode makes an important contribution to sustainable freight transport. The locomotives are currently used by MKB, Captrain, SETG and Northrail/Paribus. DB Cargo has ordered 146 Vectron Dual Mode locomotives specifically to make transport more sustainable from 2023.
