The two-way Unimog U423 brings flexible usability to the model railroad system - both on the road and on the rails. In Era VI with a neutral design, this vehicle is the perfect all-rounder for numerous applications. Two-way vehicles offer a decisive advantage over purely rail-bound machines: they can be quickly relocated and used immediately - ideal for maintenance, servicing or shunting services. The Unimog is used by railroad companies, metro systems, light rail systems, streetcars and track construction companies, among others. The model was developed by Zagro, one of the leading suppliers of two-way technology from Bad Rappenau.

Technical details of the model

This model is based on a new design and appears for the first time in N gauge as a new 2025 model. The white/red LED continuous light operation and switchable rotating beacons ensure a modern and realistic light display. The integrated DC/DCC board from Zimo allows use on both analog and digital layouts. A buffer memory ensures trouble-free operation.

Robust, powerful and fully digitized

The model is equipped with a metal chassis that ensures optimum stability. Both axles are driven, which gives the model good traction even in demanding operating conditions. There is a coupling with NEM plug-in shaft at the rear, which enables flexible integration into existing vehicle formations.
