Function and Applications

The primary function of the HM7070 Power Bank is to act as a buffer battery. It provides additional power when the power supply through the tracks is interrupted, such as due to dirty rails, turnouts, or poor contact. This ensures smooth locomotive operation, especially on digital layouts (DCC). The Power Bank is specifically designed for use with the digital control systems of the Hornby HM7000 series and ensures reliable operation even under difficult conditions.

Compact Dimensions and Easy Integration

With its small dimensions of 18 x 10 x 7 mm, the HM7070 Power Bank is extremely compact and can be easily installed in most locomotives. Thanks to its neutral design, it is suitable for a wide variety of gauges and locomotive types. The simple installation allows for a quick upgrade of your models without requiring extensive modifications.

Compatibility with the HM | DCC App

The HM7070 Power Bank is optimally designed for use with the HM | DCC app. This app allows you to intuitively control your digital model railroad directly from your smartphone or tablet. Please ensure that your smart device can download and run the HM | DCC app before purchasing an HM7000 series product. The app gives you full control over your locomotives’ functions, including power management via the power bank.

Maximum Reliability and Performance

The Hornby HM7070 Power Bank delivers reliable performance that makes a noticeable difference, especially with digital control systems. Locomotives run at a constant speed without interruptions, which significantly increases the operational reliability of your layout. This accessory is specially designed for model railroaders who value high functionality and operational reliability.

Care and Maintenance

The HM7070 Power Bank requires minimal maintenance. It is recommended to regularly check that the contacts are clean and free of dust or dirt to ensure optimal performance. Be sure to protect the Power Bank from moisture and excessive heat to maximize its service life.

Conclusion: Optimize Your Digital Model Railroad
