Description

A four-axle baggage car with a post office, intended for serving and transporting mail in express train operation. The coach is divided into a service, luggage and mail compartment. The mail compartment is divided into a check-in room and a reception room. The entrance door is located in the service section of the carriage. If required, the two compartments can be combined and used together by opening the sliding partition door.

The carriage is equipped with cabling for the train radio and telephone. The carriage did not comply with the RIC regulations, but was approved on condition that the electric heating is not used on lines where voltages other than 3000 volts are used. The permissible operating speed was 120 km/h. The CSD took over 35 units in 1961 (DFa 8015-8049), and in 1967 it was renumbered 51 54 91-18. After the removal of the RIC, it was renumbered 50 54 91-18. In 1983 it was renamed D Post.
