With the three-car ABe 8/12 "Allegra" multiple unit, Kato is bringing a modern prototype of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) to the layout as a highly detailed model in N scale (1:160). The Allegra multiple unit stands for innovation, alpine rail traffic and modern technology - perfectly implemented for demanding model railroaders of eras V and VI.

Swiss high performance on a narrow gauge

The ABe 8/12, known as the "Allegra", is a prototype three-car articulated railcar of the Rhaetian Railway, used for fast passenger services on the spectacular mountain routes of Graubünden. Kato has implemented this modern multiple unit with great attention to detail - including matching lettering, realistic design and color-coordinated interior fittings.

State-of-the-art technology

The model has a white/red light change in the direction of travel and is prepared for interior lighting (can be retrofitted as an option). The running characteristics are - typically Kato - excellent, even on tight radii from 150 mm. This makes the Allegra multiple unit suitable both for small layouts with demanding track layout and for extensive TT and mountain landscapes in the model.

Authentic for Era V-VI

The multiple unit corresponds to the appearance of Era V-VI and is equipped with true-to-original RhB lettering. It can be ideally combined with other Rhaetian Railway trains and coaches - for example with the Glacier Express or narrow-gauge freight trains.
