The Class 77 is the continental development of the British Class 66, one of the most frequently built locomotives in Great Britain. Originally developed in the 1990s on behalf of EWS, a revised version was offered for the European market from 2005 - as the Class 77. The six-axle diesel locomotive from Canadian production is primarily used in heavy freight train services and has also secured a permanent place in the DB Cargo fleet in Germany. This model from Kato brings the modern powerhouse to your layout in N scale.

Technical details of the model

The model is in N scale and designed for the 2-conductor direct current system (DC). It has a white light change using LEDs, which is switched depending on the direction. The locomotive has a digital interface in accordance with NEM651, but is not digitized on delivery and has no sound function. The minimum radius is 228 mm, which allows it to be used on all standard N-gauge layouts.
