With the Kato TGV Thalys PBKA, you can bring a real high-speed highlight of the European rail world to your layout in N scale. The 10-part multiple unit in the current Thalys design combines technical precision, international tractive power and elegant design - ideal for modern Era VI scenarios.
The model impresses with an exact replica of the Thalys PBKA, including fine engravings, detailed roof superstructures and correctly implemented color scheme. The WiFi antennas on coaches 2 and 7 are particularly striking and perfectly reflect the modern equipment of the original. The Thalys comes in a limited edition with an exclusive design and high-quality surfaces.
Equipped with a powerful 5-pole motor with flywheel mass, the multiple unit offers excellent running characteristics even over long distances. A white/red light change is provided by energy-saving LEDs. Thanks to the NEM651 interface, the model can be digitized. The trains are prepared for double traction and have a special coupling between the power car and the first intermediate car. There is also the option of retrofitting with interior lighting (item no. The Thalys PBKA is a high-speed train based on the TGV POS and is operated by the SNCF (France) and the SNCB (Belgium). The trains connect Paris with cities in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. The model reproduces the version currently in use in Era VI and symbolizes European mobility and technical progress.
The Thalys is compatible with all common 2-conductor DC track systems and is ideal for modern high-speed lines in model railway format N.
