Description

This 8-axle LTM 1400 telescopic crane was manufactured by LIEBHERR from 1988 and has since become one of the most successful machines in the 400-tonne class. It offers mobility and versatility. Despite a total weight of 96 t including the 50 m telescopic boom, the truck-mounted crane is only 17.5 m long, compact and maneuverable. It is driven by a DAIMLER-BENZ turbo engine with 390 kW/530 hp. Telescopic rigging equipment is attached to the telescopic boom. This serves to increase the lifting capacity by up to 50 %. When transporting the truck-mounted crane on the road, this rigging remains on the vehicle, placed on the boom. A 2nd hoist unit is bolted to the rear of the crane superstructure. The counterweight of up to 125 t is also attached to this. A lifting height of 46.9 m is achieved on the main boom. With the luffing jib, the maximum lifting height is even 132 m, with an outreach of 96 m possible. On the construction site, the crane can be moved fully equipped with ballast up to a total weight of 272 t.
