Description

This newly developed ballast processing machine from Plasser & Theurer has two drive types - electric and diesel-electric (hybrid) via a 600 kW diesel engine for power generation. The traction motors and hydraulics are always electrically driven. The electric drive enables low-maintenance, low-noise and low-emission operation (CO2-reduced). The pioneering design is essentially based on function and occupational safety. The model is largely modeled on the original in terms of design and function.

Innovation from Viessmann:

Operation optionally in driving or working mode with forward travel at approx. 1 km/h with vertically and horizontally moving tamping unit. Pantograph moved by motor, various light functions. Digital decoder with original sound for electric or diesel operation for DCC, MM, and DC analog operation, Rail-Com compatible. Excellent synchronized tamping unit with the traction motors and sound. High-quality two-part model with a die-cast zinc chassis and two synchronized drive motors that provide powerful and smooth operation, supported by integrated power storage units. With coupling shafts to NEM 362 and system coupling included.
