The Kres 51047032 H0 BR 670 double-decker rail bus is an exclusive replica of an exceptional Deutsche Bahn vehicle concept. Equipped with DC sound, digital control and LED lighting, this model is a perfect choice for model railroaders who want to depict modern Era V local transport on their layout.
The class 670 was developed in the early 1990s to optimize regional transport on less frequented routes. The double-decker design made it possible to achieve a higher passenger capacity despite the compact dimensions. Of the six vehicles originally built, the 670 004-1 shown here was used by Deutsche Bahn AG (DBAG) in Era V.
The rail bus was characterized by its striking design and large window areas, which offered passengers a generous view. Despite its innovative concept, the BR 670 was not able to establish itself in the long term, which is why it is now considered a rare collector's item.
Era V (1990-2006) was characterized by the merger of Deutsche Bundesbahn and Deutsche Reichsbahn to form DBAG as well as numerous new vehicle developments. The BR 670 was a test vehicle for modern local transport solutions, which were increasingly tested during this period. While many of these concepts were successfully developed further, the BR 670 remained a rarity.

The rail bus has a realistic light change in red and white as well as LED interior lighting that realistically illuminates the passenger compartment. The minimum radius of 362 mm allows it to be used on standard model railway lines.
The model is painted in the DBAG Era V livery and has the true-to-original road number 670 004-1. The fine printing, the exact reproduction of the window fronts and the detailed interior design ensure a realistic appearance.
The BR 670 double-decker rail bus is ideal for regional and commuter services on branch lines. Due to its compact dimensions, it is also ideal for use on smaller layouts. This model unfolds its full potential particularly in combination with modern stations or rural stops.
The model should be cleaned regularly to avoid dust deposits. The LED lighting is maintenance-free, but the wheel contacts should be kept clean to ensure optimum current consumption. The digital sound decoder can be individually programmed and adapted to personal preferences.
