The Dessau and Halle-Ammendorf factories of Deutsche Waggonbau AG (DWA) produced 6 two-axle, double-decker railcars on behalf of Deutsche Bahn AG. These were mainly used on lines in Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt and Rhineland-Palatinate. However, the cars did not fully meet expectations. There were problems with the air conditioning system and also with the engine cooling. The lack of toilets also made itself felt. The railcars only spent 5 years in service with Deutsche Bahn before they were returned to the manufacturer, which had been Bombardier Transportation since 1998. There, the coaches were modernized and sold to other railroad companies. A class 670 double-decker rail bus is still in service today on behalf of Schienenbusreisen Köstner. This digital model from Kress is dedicated to it. It is equipped with a digital decoder, interior lighting and a red and white light change at the front of the car.
