The Kres N1383DS VT 137 type "Stettin" is a high-quality model of a historical railcar of the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) from Era III. This digitized model with integrated sound module offers model railroad enthusiasts a detailed replica of the prototype on a scale of 1:160 (N gauge).
At the beginning of the 1940s, the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG) procured a total of 16 two-car multiple units for suburban traffic in the port city of Stettin. These were built by the company WUMAG in Görlitz and were given the road numbers VT 137 331 to 367. Four different diesel engines with the same output and identical installation dimensions from the manufacturers Daimler-Benz, Deutz, MAN and DWK were tested in these railcars. After the Second World War, nine railcars remained with the DR, four with the later DB and one initially with the ČSD. The DR put five of the railcars back into service, including VT 137 331, which was later stationed in Dresden-Altstadt.
