Description

Class 94.5 steam locomotive, DR, high sloped coal box, Era IV, version with Riggenbach back pressure brake.

The Kuehn 31918 TT model of the BR94 is characterized by many extra attached parts. In total, the TT locomotive consists of more than 230 individual parts. The boiler in elaborate zinc die-casting technology ensures a high locomotive weight. The locomotive is provided with a Next18 interface as well as space for a rectangular loudspeaker.

In the prototype, the locomotives have a very small wheelbase for good cornering ability. Thus, a scale conversion as a TT model is normally not possible due to the model wheel tires. However, Kuehn has reproduced the wheels in prototypical worn condition so that the compromises in the running gear area are no longer visible.
