Description

Lenz 40201-13 0-gauge steam locomotive 01 193, DRG, Era II: Elegance and power of the early express train era

The Lenz 40201-13 class 01 steam locomotive in 0 scale brings the pioneering era of the German express steam locomotives of the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG ) from Era II to your model railroad layout. With the road number 01 193, equipped with Wagner wind deflectors, a front apron and the 2'2'T34 tender, this model represents the elegance and efficiency of the early 1930s. It is a particularly suitable addition to the Rheingold car set (item no. 41290-80) and thus enables the authentic representation of legendary luxury trains.

The prototype: The DRG class 01 in Era II

The class 01 was the first DRG unit express locomotive and was put into service in 1925. With an axle arrangement of 2'C1' (Pacific) and a maximum speed of 120 km/h, it was designed for heavy express train service. The locomotive 01 193 was built in 1936 by the Henschel company and was stationed at the Deutzerfeld depot of the Reichsbahndirektion Cologne. Characteristic of this locomotive were the Wagner wind deflectors and the elegant front apron, which gave it a striking appearance.

Lenz - precision and passion in model making

The Lenz company is known for its high-quality model railroads in gauge 0. With great care and attention to detail, Lenz produces models that are both visually and technically impressive. The 40201-13 steam locomotive BR 01 193 is another example of the brand's commitment to authentically reproducing historical railroad vehicles and integrating state-of-the-art technology.

Detailed design and authentic color scheme

The model impresses with its true-to-original paintwork and lettering, which is typical of DRG Era II. Finely crafted details such as the filigree spoked wheels, the precise reproduction of the Wagner wind deflectors, the detailed cab interior and the realistic depiction of the 2'2'T34 tender have been implemented with the utmost accuracy. The authentic representation of the road number 01 193 and the lettering of the Deutzerfeld depot give the model additional authenticity.

Technical features and digital equipment

The Lenz class 01 193 is equipped with a digital decoder and supports the 2-wire direct current system (DC). It has an integrated sound decoder that reproduces realistic operating sounds such as steam exhaust, whistle and locomotive whistle and thus enriches the driving experience on the model railway layout. The precise motor control ensures excellent running characteristics, and the current-carrying couplers make it possible to operate lighted cars without additional wiring.

Era II and the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft: progress and innovation

Era II (1920-1945) was characterized by technical innovations and the pursuit of standardized locomotive designs. With the class 01, the DRG set new standards in express train service and laid the foundation for modern rail transport. The 01 193 with its characteristic features is exemplary of this time of new beginnings and technical masterpieces.

Conclusion: A highlight for your 0-gauge model railroad collection

The Lenz 40201-13 Class 01 193 0-gauge steam locomotive is an excellent addition to any model railroad collection. Its detailed design, authentic color scheme and modern digital equipment make it a highlight on any layout.
