Description

Lenz 40240-06 - Class 24 056 steam locomotive, DRG, Era II, photographic paint scheme

The class 24 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG) was developed as a so-called "steppe horse" locomotive especially for branch lines and light passenger and freight traffic. Locomotive 24 056 stands out with a special feature: the rare DRG photographic paint scheme, which was used specifically for advertising purposes and catalog illustrations. This unique version is now being released as a high-quality model in 0 scale - technically state-of-the-art and visually an absolute eye-catcher for collectors and Era II enthusiasts.

Technology and detailing at large gauge level

Finest model realization in 0 gauge

With a length over buffers of 378 mm, spring buffers and precisely crafted metal wheel sets, the model offers the best running characteristics and robust technology. The interior and driver's cab lighting, constantly illuminated headlights and the direction-dependent light change make the BR 24 056 look atmospheric and realistic even in dark operation. The separately switchable rear light provides additional flexibility when driving.

Digital equipment for modern driving

Thanks to digital/analog recognition, RailCom compatibility and an integrated sound decoder, the model is optimally prepared for all modern layouts. A remote-controlled coupler and the USP function (uninterruptible power supply) round off the technology package and make this locomotive the ideal choice for digital 0-gauge railway enthusiasts with high demands.

Historical rarity - The DRG photographic paint scheme

The special photographic paint scheme was used by the DRG in the 1930s to depict locomotives with particularly high contrast and detail for publications. This paint scheme was only used on selected locomotives and is an absolute rarity today. With this model conversion, Lenz is bringing a special piece of railroad history back to the rails - exclusively in 0 gauge.

Pre-order now - Historical highlight in a limited look

With the BR 24 056 in photographic livery, you can bring a technically perfect and visually exceptional locomotive to your layout. Ideal for collectors, DRG fans and fans of Era II. Secure it now - this special model will only be available in limited numbers for a short time!
