The Taurus locomotives were originally developed for ÖBB and have been used successfully throughout Europe since 2000. With their combination of efficiency, versatility and modern technology, they also found their way to Deutsche Bahn AG, where they were used by DB Regio and others under the class 182. This model variant 182 018-2 has been extensively revised on the basis of the former MTH model and appears in a detailed and functionally comprehensive version for Era V in H0 scale.

The model of the 182 018-2 is equipped with four driven axles, finely detailed metal wheel sets and a fully reproduced interior and driver's cab.
