The class Ge 4/4 III electric locomotives are the RhB's most modern locomotives and can be seen in front of all types of trains. With an output of 2,400 kW and a maximum speed of 100 km/h, they meet all the requirements of use on a mountain railroad. In recent years, the RhB has begun to modernize the locomotives delivered from the mid-1990s - on the one hand, the electronics are being renewed and thus brought up to date, on the other hand, the locomotives are being fitted with modern LED headlights and the originally installed signal horns are being replaced by a compressed air whistle.
