Description

LGB 23103 G Electric Locomotive HGe 4/4 II 101, FO, Ep. V, DC MFX Sound - Cogwheel Power for the Swiss Alps

The LGB 23103 is the detailed model of the HGe 4/4 II electric locomotive with the road number 101 as it was used on the Furka-Oberalp Railway (FO) in the mid-1980s. With its true-to-original paint scheme and lettering in Era V as well as the two coats of arms "Ville de Sion" and "Sion", this large series model brings an authentic piece of Swiss railroad history to your garden railroad.

Strong in the prototype - precise in the model

The HGe 4/4 II was developed from 1985 for combined adhesion and cogwheel operation. With an output of 1,932 kW (around 2,600 hp) and a top speed of 100 km/h, it set new standards in the narrow-gauge sector. It is still irreplaceable today in both passenger and car shuttle services. The model of this locomotive is in Era V design, with all original details and a length over buffers of 670 mm - impressive and authentic at the same time.

Technical highlights for demanding model railroaders

Equipped with an mfx/DCC sound decoder, the locomotive offers numerous light and sound functions. The driving sound also works in analog operation. Two motors with ball bearings drive all four wheel sets and two traction gear wheels - for powerful propulsion even on demanding gradients. The roof pantographs are motor-driven and can be controlled digitally. An energy storage system ensures reliable operation even with short contact interruptions.

Exemplary in every respect

The two coats of arms "Ville de Sion" and "Sion" are cleanly and correctly implemented on the model. The lighting technology is based on the Era V specifications, with digitally switchable light change. The HGe 4/4 II is still in service today on the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn (MGB) and Zentralbahn - in particular in front of the Glacier Express and car transport trains at the Furka Tunnel.

Experience Swiss railroad technology now - exclusively in G scale

The LGB 23103 HGe 4/4 II 101 combines authentic design, powerful technology and historical significance - now available in the model railroad store. Get this model of an icon of cogwheel traffic and enrich your garden railroad with real Alpine power!
