In 2010, Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL ) ordered eight KISS multiple-unit trains from Stadler Rail, which have been operating on the route between Luxembourg City and Koblenz as RE11 since December 2014. From 2017, the CFL fleet was expanded to include eleven additional three-car KISS multiple-unit trains, which are used in particular for cross-border connections between Luxembourg and Germany.
The CFL's KISS multiple units are equipped with both the German train control system PZB 90 and the ETCS Level 1 used in Luxembourg. Particularly noteworthy is the possibility of combining them in multiple traction with the single-decker FLIRT multiple units of DB Regio Südwest - a unique form of operation in Europe.
The CFL is Luxembourg's state railroad company and operates both national and cross-border train services. It plays a central role in European rail transport, particularly in commuter traffic between Luxembourg and the neighboring countries of Germany, France and Belgium. The use of modern multiple-unit trains such as the KISS series improves comfort and efficiency in local transport and contributes to sustainable transport development.

The precise printing with the train number 2319 and the road numbers 0023 191-8, 0023 193-4 and 0023 192-6 gives the model a prototypical appearance. The train destination display "RE11 LUXEMBOURG" emphasizes the authenticity and makes the model a faithful reproduction of one of the most important regional trains in Luxembourg.
The three-car KISS multiple unit is ideal for modern model railroad layouts that reproduce current rail traffic in Luxembourg and Germany.
