With the Liliput L162585, Liliput presents a charming model of the classic small locomotive Köf 11 in purple-red paintwork - typical of the German Federal Railways in Era III. The locomotive with the operating number Köf 11 056 impresses with the finest detailing in N scale and is perfect for use on branch lines, in small stations or in factory and shunting operations in the 1960s. A real piece of DB history on a scale of 1:160!
The prototype locomotive was manufactured in 1963 by the Gmeinder company under the factory number 6257 and accepted by the German Federal Railroad on September 3, 1963. It entered service in purple-red livery as Köf 11 056. It was renamed 332 056-1 on 01.01.1968 as part of the new class structure. Until its retirement on 31.12.1993, it was stationed in the Mannheim area, where it remained until it was scrapped in 2000. The model shows the original condition from 1964 and is an example of the typical everyday life on the German Federal Railroad in Era III.
The model impresses with its authentic purple-red paintwork, precise printing and true-to-original engravings. At just 49 mm long, the Köf 11 056 is compact but extremely detailed. The locomotive is an ideal eye-catcher for historical depots, small shunting scenes or rural stations in the style of the 1960s.
Designed for analog operation at the factory, the locomotive can be easily retrofitted with a decoder thanks to the integrated digital interface. This makes it suitable for both classic and modern model railroad layouts. The fine mechanics and compact design make it perfect for tight radii and detailed dioramas.
