With the Liliput L162606, Liliput is bringing a precisely manufactured model of the 333 224 diesel locomotive in the colors of the Kübler forwarding company to N gauge. The locomotive is based on the proven 335 series and impresses in its 2012 operating condition with a new green livery, modern road numbers and high prototypical fidelity. Ideal for analog and digital railroaders who also want to realistically depict modern industrial and freight forwarding scenes.
The locomotive was built by Gmeinder in 1966 and entered service with the German Federal Railroad on 01.07.1966 under the designation Köf 11 240. It was renumbered to 332 240-1 in 1968 and was in service in the Krefeld and Gremberg area for decades until it was finally taken out of service in 1998. But its journey was not over yet: in 2009, it was given the fresh green paint job shown in the model at InfraServ in Wiesbaden. Since 2011, it has borne its modern NVR number and is operated by the Kübler forwarding company under the operating number 98 80 3332 240-1D-PBE - an exciting model for modern industrial operations.
The model is based on the 2012 model and comes in a fresh, industrial green with fine lettering and clear contours. The discreet Kübler lettering on the driver's cab underlines the commercial character of the locomotive. Despite its compact length of just 49 mm, it impresses with its surprising attention to detail and high quality of workmanship.
The locomotive is suitable for use on analogue layouts, but can also be easily digitized thanks to the integrated digital interface. This makes it a perfect fit for modern branch lines, industrial facilities or factory traffic - and complements any contemporary Era V and VI layout concept.
