The Liliput L235747 H0 heavy-haul transport car is a highly detailed replica of the 6-axle heavy-haul transport car, type Sammp 705, operated by Deutsche Bahn AG (DB AG) during Era V. With a length over buffers (LüP) of 152 mm and the road number 21 80 482 1 054-4, this model fits seamlessly into modern model railroad layouts and impresses with its high level of detail and functionality.
Between 1942 and 1944, the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DRB) procured 6-axle heavy-duty flat cars for transporting tanks with a load capacity of up to 80 metric tons, known as SSyms Köln. After World War II, over 300 of these cars were transferred to the Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB), where they were classified as “SSym 46.” They were primarily used to transport slabs (semi-finished steel products) and were redesignated “Sa 705” in 1964. Starting in 1983, with the introduction of more modern cars for slab transport, the cars—now designated Sammp 705—were gradually phased out. However, a few remained in the DB AG fleet well into Epoch V.

With a length over the buffers of 152 mm, the car is faithfully reproduced to scale in H0 format.
The model is designed for H0 gauge (1:87 scale) and is intended for operation on DC layouts. It is compatible with all standard H0 track systems and can be easily integrated into existing layouts. The NEM-compliant coupler mount allows for the use of various coupler types.
The heavy-haul freight car is painted in the typical colors of Deutsche Bahn AG and features authentic touch-up patches that reflect its real-world use in freight transport. The detailed printing and the fine reproduction of lettering and warning signs contribute to its realistic appearance.
