The Liliput L260175 N 3-piece set of DB Rlmmp 650 heavy goods wagons is a faithful reproduction of the versatile bogie flat wagons that were used for heavy transport in the 1970s. The Rlmmp 650 heavy-duty wagons were further developed from earlier SSy 55 flat wagons and were specially designed for the transportation of heavy goods such as machines, boilers, vehicles and components. The wagons were used by the Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) in large numbers from the 1960s and were in use until the 1990s.
The plank floor without stanchions allowed flexible use for different loads, while the Minden-Dorstfeld DB 931 bogies ensured a high load capacity and excellent running characteristics. Thanks to the low loading height, even large-volume or heavy loads could be transported safely.
Era IV (1965-1990) was characterized by the transition from traditional rail logistics systems to modern transport solutions. The introduction of computerized UIC numbering ensured uniform identification of freight wagons throughout Europe. The Rlmmp 650 wagons were widely used at this time and were used to transport transformers, construction machinery, boilers and large containers.
