The Liliput L260221 N 2-part set of Uagpps "Wagon Care" grain transport wagons is an exact replica of modern self-unloading wagons for international bulk goods traffic. With its finely detailed wagons and authentic printing, this model perfectly complements the model railroad layouts of eras V and VI. The cars were operated by Wagon Care and were used by Loko Trans in Slovakia.
The 4-axleUagpps type self-unloading wagons are specially designed for the transportation of moisture-sensitive bulk goods such as grain, maize, wheat or sunflower seeds. The design enables safe transportation over long distances, as the wagons have a special internal coating that protects the contents from moisture.
The wagons are equipped with a sliding roof, which enables easy loading with bulk hoppers. Gravity unloading takes place centrally via several unloading devices on the underside so that the load can be emptied quickly and efficiently. The road numbers 933 5 116-5 and 933 5 128-0 identify these wagons as vehicles in active service in the years around 2007.
Eras V and VI (from 1990 to the present day) are characterized by the progressive privatization of the railroad market. Private operators also became increasingly active in bulk goods transport, including Wagon Care, a company specializing in the leasing and maintenance of freight wagons. The wagons depicted here were operated by Loko Trans, a Slovakian railroad company specializing in international agricultural transport.
The manufacturer Liliput is known for its precise models, which impress with their fine engravings, realistic coloring and excellent running characteristics. The L260221 set recreates the grain wagons from "Wagon Care" with great attention to detail and offers a realistic replica of the modern freight wagons.
Each wagon has a length over buffers of 96 mm and is equipped with an NEM 355 coupler pocket and close coupling kinematics. This allows easy combination with other wagons and ensures safe operation in model railroad traffic.
The detailed representation of the unloading equipment and the roof construction gives the wagons a particularly realistic appearance. The fine printing with the Wagon Care logos and the individual company numbers corresponds exactly to the prototypes of the real wagons.
The wagons are painted in the typical light grey color scheme that is characteristic of many modern grain transport wagons. The printing with the lettering Wagon Care and the technical data is razor-sharp and corresponds to the standards of Era V-VI.
The set is perfect for modern grain and bulk goods transportation. The wagons can be used in block trains as well as in mixed agricultural trains and complement agricultural depots, port terminals or loading points for bulk goods transportation. These wagons are particularly suitable for international trains traveling from Slovakia to Germany or Austria.
To keep the model in perfect condition, it is advisable to clean the wagons regularly. Dust can be carefully removed with a soft brush or compressed air spray. The axles and couplings should be checked occasionally and lubricated with special model railroad oil.
