The Liliput L260222 N 2-part set of Uagpps "RAIL4CHEM/Loko Trans" grain transport wagons reproduces modern self-unloading wagons for international bulk goods transport. The two 4-axle cars are true to the original design in different paint schemes and were operated by Loko Trans in Slovakia. With precise printing, detailed reproduction of the unloading equipment and excellent running characteristics, these cars are an ideal addition to Era VI freight trains.
The Uagpps type grain wagons have been specially developed for the transportation of hygroscopic bulk goods such as grain, maize, wheat or sunflower seeds. Their design ensures efficient loading via the sliding roof and rapid gravity unloading via special openings in the wagon floor.
The wagons shown here were under the management of RAIL4CHEM and Loko Trans, two private rail service providers responsible for the transportation of agricultural products throughout Europe. Especially in Eastern Europe, Germany and the Benelux countries, these wagons were frequently used for international grain trade.
In Era VI (from 1990 to the present day), the rail market in Europe was increasingly privatized. Many large logistics companies such as RAIL4CHEM and Loko Trans put their own wagons into operation in order to respond more efficiently and flexibly to transportation needs. The transportation of grain is an important part of European rail traffic.
The renowned manufacturer Liliput impresses with detailed models and high precision in production. The L260222 set is characterized by its fine printing, prototypical differences in colouring and excellent workmanship. These cars can be ideally integrated into modern freight trains.
Each wagon has a length over buffers of 96 mm and is equipped with an NEM 355 coupler pocket and close coupling kinematics. This ensures a secure connection with other wagons and realistic operation on the model railroad.
The fine engravings on the side walls and the realistically reproduced roof with sliding roof mechanism make this model particularly detailed. The unloading devices underneath the car body are exactly reproduced to show how the real prototypes work.
The set contains two wagons with different color schemes, which underlines the realistic use of these wagons in mixed train formations. The true-to-original lettering with the car numbers 933 5 009-2 and 933 5 018-3 corresponds exactly to the real prototypes from 2006.
The set is perfect for transporting grain and bulk goods on international routes. The cars can be used in block trains as well as in mixed agricultural transportation. These wagons are particularly suitable for routes between Eastern Europe, Germany and the Benelux countries.
The wagons should be cleaned regularly to ensure that they function well in the long term. Dust can be removed with a soft brush or compressed air spray. The axles and couplings should be checked occasionally and lubricated with special model railroad oil.
