Description

LUX-Modellbau 9715 H0m Track Grinding Car, Analog and Digital

Are you looking for a reliable solution to keep your H0m tracks clean and ensure smoother, more trouble-free train operation in the long run? The LUX-Modellbau 9715 H0m Track Grinding Car (Analog and Digital) is a fully functional, mobile cleaning car designed for all H0m track and control systems. It was specially designed to remove stubborn oil and dirt residues, deposits from traction tire wear, and oxide layers on the rail head.

Clean rails are essential for safe model railroad operation. Even the finest contaminants on the rail head can lead to contact problems and operational disruptions. The H0m rail grinding car can also clean hard-to-reach areas such as tunnel sections, hidden stations, or track layouts spanned by overhead wires. This improves current collection and supports trouble-free operation.

Automatic Cleaning for Analog and Digital Layouts

The track-grinding car can be used on both analog and digitally controlled layouts. It is powered by the track voltage and can be pulled or pushed by standard model locomotives. It does not have its own drive system for propulsion. The cleaning mechanism is driven by a durable and maintenance-free bell-type armature motor from Faulhaber¹.

A special feature is the SSF-09 control electronics with an automatic start/stop function. This system operates based on movement: When the car is moved on the live track, the cleaning mechanism switches on automatically. If the activated cleaning car comes to a stop—for example, at a signal stop—the cleaning system automatically shuts off again.

Cleaning System for Hard-to-Reach Track Areas

The rotating, radially acting cleaning mechanism runs over the rail head and can be adjusted via a height-adjustment screw. Thanks to the special arrangement of the bogies, the rail grinding car runs particularly smoothly in curves and switch areas. A curved-track steering mechanism for the polishing discs ensures optimal cleaning performance even on complex track layouts.

The battery unit carried on the rail grinding car and charged via the track voltage provides a buffer for the cleaning system’s motor during brief power interruptions. This ensures that cleaning performance is maintained even on short, unpowered track sections. The H0m rail grinding car comes standard with a polishing disc whose soft polishing materials gently wrap around the rail head and also clean the critical inner side of the rail head.

For greater operational reliability on H0m track layouts

With the LUX-Modellbau 9715 H0m rail grinding car, you can significantly increase the operational reliability of your model railroad. Cleaning ensures reliable current collection, reduces malfunctions caused by dirt, and helps extend the operating life of your rolling stock. Even on rack-and-pinion track, the H0m rail cleaner’s track-cleaning technology does not compromise running reliability.

If you want to clean your H0m layout regularly and reach even hard-to-access areas, this track cleaning car is an excellent choice. Add the LUX-Modellbau 9715 to your model railroad and ensure reliable train operation on clean tracks.
