The Märklin 00730-03 H0 German Federal Railroad (DB) Era IV Tals 968 swing-roof car is a detailed model for alternating current (AC) systems. This four-axle hinged roof car, designed for the transport of sensitive bulk goods, has the typical red-brown paint scheme of Era IV, which extends from about 1970 to 1990.

The model has two transfer platforms and is equipped with type 665 bogies. These features ensure an authentic representation of the prototype. On the long side of the car there are central steps, handles and step holes on the upper body, which give the car a realistic appearance.The swivel roof of the wagon can be swiveled to the side manually, which enables realistic loading and unloading of the cargo.
