The Märklin 00730-16 H0 German Federal Railroad (DB) Era IV Tals 968 swing-roof car is a detailed model for alternating current (AC) systems. This four-axle hinged roof car, which was in use between about 1970 and 1990, is specially designed for the transportation of bulk goods that are sensitive to moisture.

The model has the classic red-brown paint scheme of Era IV and is equipped with type 665 bogies. There are transition platforms at the ends of the wagon that allow a realistic representation of everyday wagon life.
