A distant signal is a railroad signal that indicates which signal aspect is to be expected at the following main signal. This is necessary at higher speeds because trains then have braking distances of several hundred meters or more and therefore in many cases the locomotive crew can no longer recognize the signal aspect of a main signal in time to bring the train to a halt before the main signal.
The distant signal with additional light 76481 from Märklin comes here in the H0 version with 3 positions: "Expect stop" - yellow/yellow (Vr0), "Expect speed" - green/green (Vr1) and "Expect slow speed" - green/yellow (Vr2).
With integrated signal electronics. Connection to the separate signal decoder of the associated main signal. Can be used for all main signals. Control of all functions via the signal decoder of the main signal. For digital operation, the configuration and address are assigned by the signal decoder of the main signal. Height without base 61 mm.
