Description

Legend in die-cast zinc - Märklin Gauge 0 Crocodile Replica SBB CCS 66

With the Märklin 10920 you can experience the return of an icon: The famous Swiss "Crocodile" of the SBB - here as a high-quality replica of the CCS 66 locomotive in 1:45 scale (0 scale). Elaborately made of die-cast zinc, equipped with two motors, mfx digital decoder and light change, this model combines historical elegance with modern technology - an exclusive collector's item for large gauges.

The prototype - The Swiss Crocodile

The legendary SBB crocodiles were designed from the 1920s for heavy freight train service on the Alpine routes. Their articulated design with two separate motor bogies made them ideal for tight curves and steep gradients. The CCS 66 model is a replica of the early Märklin design, now technically modernized.

Model - replica with a metal heart

The chassis and body are made entirely of die-cast zinc - for weight, stability and a high-quality appearance. The model is powered by two motors - one per bogie - for powerful running. The dual headlights (2x white) change over depending on the direction of travel and can be switched digitally.

Digital technology & operation

A modern mfx digital decoder allows operation on digital layouts, but can also be used conventionally. The crocodile fits harmoniously into classic or modern gauge 0 arrangements.
