Prototype: German State Railroad Company (DRG) class E 44 electric locomotive. Blue-gray basic paint scheme. With scissors pantographs. Locomotive road number E 44 024. Operating condition around 1934.

About the model: The electric locomotive E44 Retro, DRG, Ep.II is a nostalgic reissue of a Märklin classic on a scale of 1:87. With its authentic design and the sturdy metal construction for the locomotive body and the chassis, it is reminiscent of past eras of rail transportation. Equipped with coupler hooks on both sides of the locomotive, it can be used in a variety of ways.
