Description

Märklin 36702 H0 BR 367 Diesel Locomotive, Gleisbau GmbH, DB AG, Era VI, AC-MFX Sound – Compact Power for Work Train Service

With the Märklin 36702, you get a versatile H0-scale shunting model: The diesel locomotive of the fictional Class 367, designed by Deutsche Bahn Gleisbau GmbH (DBG), brings a rugged industrial look and digital functionality to your model railroad layout. Based on the proven Henschel DHG 700, this model was designed for work train service (Az service) in Era VI—ideal for modern railroad service scenarios.

Prototype History – From Industrial Use to DB Service

The DHG 700 locomotives were manufactured by Henschel in Kassel between 1973 and 1985 and were in service for decades on private and industrial railways. When an industrial railroad ceased operations in 2005–2006, DB Gleisbau GmbH acquired six of these proven machines and classified them as the new Class 367. The locomotives were used for local operations, particularly for the construction and maintenance of track systems.

Model Railroading for Beginners and Operators

The model is equipped with an mfx digital decoder and integrated sound electronics. One axle is powered, supported by a traction tire for better traction. The three-light headlight changes direction depending on the direction of travel and can be switched digitally. In addition, the locomotive features a distinctive flashing light on the cab roof—a typical characteristic of modern work locomotives. The length over buffers is a compact 11.2 cm—ideal for shunting scenes or as a lead locomotive for short construction trains.

Authentically designed for Era VI

The eye-catching paint scheme in the DB track maintenance style, paired with the Class 367 lettering, makes this model a real head-turner. It combines perfectly with other work train models—such as the Märklin Crane Car Set 46720—and thus offers exciting possibilities for depicting modern railway maintenance on your layout.

Discover it now – an affordable entry-level model with character
