The Württembergische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft is commemorating an important anniversary under the motto "Katja in a new old dress": 125 years ago, the WEG opened its first line between Nürtingen and Neuffen. The Katja with its one-sided retro look is a reminder of these old times.

The prototype is a class 650Regio Shuttle RS1 diesel railcar from the Württembergische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft. The version has screw couplers, buffers and an overhead train destination display. The light gray/ultramarine blue basic paint scheme with a special design for the 125th anniversary of the Tälesbahn makes this model an eye-catching Era VI vehicle.

Opened panels, shorter control lines and a coupling rod are included for double traction operation. The minimum passable radius is 360 mm, not including the clearance gauge. The length over buffers is 29.3 cm.
