With the Märklin 37825 class 221 diesel locomotive, a striking workhorse of the German Federal Railroad in operating condition around 1975 is returning to your H0 layout. In the typical crimson red paint scheme and with the road number 221 126-6, this model stands for powerful performance, rugged engineering, and authentic design. Thanks to modern digital equipment with mfx+ decoder and many switchable functions, it is ideally suited for demanding model railroad operation.

Powerful driving performance with reliable drive

A centrally installed high-performance drive with flywheel mass drives four axles via cardan shaft. Traction tires ensure optimum tractive force even with heavy trains. The couplers are guided by a linkage and guarantee prototypical movements when shunting and ensure smooth transitions during operation.

Extensive digital light and sound functions

The locomotive is equipped with an mfx+ digital decoder and offers numerous operating and sound functions. These include the three-light headlights that change depending on the direction of travel, red tail lights, separately switchable headlights on both sides of the locomotive and a double A light function. The driver's cab and engine room lighting can also be switched digitally and give the model a particularly realistic effect.

Detailed design with harmonious proportions

The heavy metal design not only gives the locomotive an authentic weight, but also an impressive presence on the layout. Metal grab irons on the sides and front and an engine driver figure in driver's cab 1 round off the high-quality appearance. With a length over buffers of approx. 21 cm, the locomotive is ideal for medium to large layouts with a focus on Era IV.
