Are you looking for a historic electric locomotive for your H0 layout that combines Dutch railway history with modern digital technology? The Märklin 38111 Class 1125 NS Electric Locomotive depicts a Class 1100 electric locomotive of the Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) in its current museum condition and brings a special prototype from the Utrecht Railway Museum to the model railroad.
The prototype is based on the French BB 8100 and was adopted by the NS as the 1100 Series. For decades, these locomotives shaped electric rail service in the Netherlands and were used, among other things, to haul well-known trains such as the TEE “Rheingold” and “Rembrandt.”
Locomotive 1125 was painstakingly restored to its original 1950s condition. The model depicts the version from the first production series without front reinforcement, featuring a turquoise body, agate-gray undercarriage, and raised decorative strips.
The newly developed design impresses with numerous prototypical details. The delicate metal construction, the newly designed Faively G5 scissor pantographs, and the extensive digital functions make this locomotive a special H0 model.
The integrated mfx+ digital decoder offers extensive lighting and sound functions. In addition to the direction-dependent two-light headlight and the red tail lights, special functions such as the L-signal, shunting lights, cab lighting, and engine room lighting can also be digitally controlled.
The regulated high-performance drive with flywheel drives all four axles via cardan shafts. A buffer storage unit supports operation during short power outages.
Get the Märklin 38111 Series 1125 NS Electric Locomotive and expand your H0 collection with a highly detailed museum-quality electric locomotive featuring an mfx+ decoder, extensive lighting functions, and a historic NS prototype.
