With the road number 249 052, it shows the operating condition of the year 2025 and impressively combines electric and diesel-powered traction in one vehicle. This model from the Siemens Vectron family combines the highest level of detail with innovative digital technology - a real highlight of Era VI.
Thanks to the built-in mfx+ digital decoder and numerous light and sound functions, the operation of this locomotive can be controlled realistically. Whether in diesel or overhead wire operation - the class 249 is ideal for construction trains or modern freight transportation. With digitally switchable pantographs, Telex couplers and numerous lighting options, this model is perfectly equipped for all digital layouts.
The controlled high-performance drive powers all four axles and ensures reliable traction with traction tires. The locomotive has an integrated buffer memory that easily bridges short-term power interruptions. Digitally switchable functions such as high beam headlights, double A-lights, cab and engine room lighting as well as a pantograph function that can be raised and lowered digitally ensure precise operation.
The chassis and body are largely made of metal and give the locomotive a high level of stability and an impressive presence on the layout. Many attached details as well as separately included brake hoses and a shunting coupling round off the high-quality appearance. With its length of 23.6 cm, the locomotive fits perfectly into modern train sets of Era VI.
