Märklin 38350 H0 E-Lok Ae 3/5, SBB, Ep. VI, AC-MFX-Sound Product Details

Description

The little Sécheron - Märklin H0 Electric locomotive Ae 3/5 of the SBB

With the Märklin 38350 you can get a lovingly realized model of a true Swiss railroad legend on your H0 layout: the SBB Ae 3/5 electric locomotive in its historic form as road number 10217, currently preserved in the Olten depot. Equipped with modern technology with mfx+ decoder, light and sound functions, it still radiates the charm of classic Swiss traction.

The prototype - compact, elegant and powerful

The Ae 3/5 was built from 1922 for the SBB's lowland services. With 1,800 hp, three driving axles and two running axles, it offered powerful performance in a compact design. The electric part came from Sécheron in Geneva - hence the nickname "little Sécheron". The locomotive with the number 10217 was preserved in working order and serves as the prototype for this highly detailed Märklin model.

Model - Swiss Character Meets High Tech

The model impresses with its delicate metal design with many applied details: roof lines, insulators, scissor pantographs and more. It also scores points inside with its engine room and driver's cab replica as well as lighting in the driver's desk. The controlled high-performance drive ensures smooth running, supported by a buffer tank.
