With the Märklin 38477 you can bring a spectacular highlight of Czech railroad history to your H0 layout: the Rh 477.0 steam locomotive with the nickname "Parrot". The museum locomotive 477.043 of the České dráhy (ČD) was in service until 2021 and impresses in the model with its colorful paint scheme, dynamic use of smoke and fully digital range of functions.
The Rh 477.0 is a heavy tank locomotive from the former Czechoslovakia, designed for fast passenger services. Because of its eye-catching red, blue and gray paint scheme, it was affectionately called the "Parrot". The model depicted here shows the preserved museum locomotive 477.043 in the condition before its decommissioning in 2021.
The locomotive is largely made of metal and equipped with a powerful high-performance drive with flywheel. A standard smoke insert provides realistic, speed-dependent steam output. Numerous digitally switchable light functions, an illuminated locomotive license plate, cab and running gear lighting as well as flickering firebox light round off the impressive overall package.
