The V 60 was developed as a versatile shunting locomotive for use on smaller stations and works railroads. With its diesel-hydraulic drive, the blind shaft and the striking driver's cab, it set standards in efficiency and design. The locomotive shown here with the road number V 60 334 shows the series version with a driver's cab roof with ventilation flaps and the first form of silencer. The Dofa furnace and the coal container on the right-hand side of the car give the locomotive its typical character.
