Would you like to use one of the most modern multi-system locomotives in Europe on your H0 layout? With the Märklin 38905 Euro9000 dual-power locomotive, you can get a top technical model of Era VI on your tracks - equipped with extensive digital technology, impressive functions, and highly detailed metal construction.
The prototype is the class 2019 (Stadler Euro9000) dual-power locomotive from European Loc Pool AG (ELP), leased to Leonhard Weiss GmbH & Co. KG from Göppingen. The locomotive has the striking grey/yellow basic livery and the road number 2019 310-2. The operating status as of March 2026 is shown.
The model has a powerful mfx+ digital decoder with extensive operating and sound functions. The controlled high-performance drive with flywheel mass is installed centrally and ensures excellent driving characteristics. Two axles per bogie are driven by cardan shafts, while traction tires provide reliable traction.
Maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs provide the lighting. The three-light headlights and the two red marker lights change depending on the direction of travel. The high beam, cab lighting and various shunting and special signals can be controlled digitally. There is also coupling compartment lighting that can be switched depending on the direction of travel.
A particular highlight of this model is the digital control of the pantographs: All four pantographs can be raised and lowered digitally independently of each other. They have different contact strips for use in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy.
The fan wheels on the roof are also powered and can be controlled digitally. The highly detailed metal design shows numerous separately applied parts such as grab rails, sand boxes, UIC sockets and roof lines. Brake lines, screw couplings and closed rail scrapers are included as separately attachable parts.
With a length over buffers of 26.4 cm and the impressive roof design, the Euro9000 is an eye-catcher on any layout. The integrated buffer tank bridges short power outages and ensures uninterrupted operation.
This completely new design is available exclusively from Märklin and Trix and is aimed at model railroaders who want to combine the latest locomotive technology with the highest level of detail.
The Märklin 38905 Euro9000 dual-power locomotive combines innovative digital functions with exceptional attention to detail. A real highlight for collectors and layout builders who want to realistically represent the current European railroad traffic of Era VI.
