Märklin 39105 presents one of the most impressive German steam locomotives of the post-war era in a new, detailed version. The German Federal Railroad class 01.10 express locomotive with a new boiler and a 2'3 T38 coal tender appears here in operating condition around 1955/56 - after conversion without streamlining, with Witte wind deflectors, silver boiler rings, and classic dual headlights.

Finest metal construction with dynamic smoke

The model is based on a largely new design of the 01.10 and impresses with a particularly delicate metal design with a large number of applied details. The smoke generator fitted as standard produces a speed-dependent, dynamic smoke output - for a realistic steam experience at the highest level.

Digital control with sound, light and firebox flickering

Equipped with an mfx+ decoder, the locomotive offers numerous digital functions: from the true-to-original steam locomotive sound to lighting functions such as the switchable driver's cab, running gear and firebox lighting. The dual headlights and LED lighting (warm white/red) can be used conventionally and switched digitally.

Powerful and prototypically implemented

A controlled high-performance drive with flywheel mass is located in the boiler and drives three axles. Traction tires provide high tractive power. The locomotive and tender are connected with a kinematic close coupler. The coupling at the tender end is kinematic-guided with an NEM shaft. An integrated buffer storage unit ensures reliable operation on demanding track sections.
