Märklin is bringing a real powerhouse of the German State Railroad to your H0 layout with the Märklin 39203. The BR 120 heavy diesel locomotive, in 1973 operating condition, was a familiar sight on the GDR railroad network with its distinctive sound and rugged construction - it was not nicknamed the "Taiga Drum" for nothing. The model shows the locomotive with the original Soviet muffler and the road number 120 323-1.
The model impresses with a chassis and body largely made of metal. A centrally installed high-performance drive with flywheel mass drives two axles in each bogie via cardan shafts. Traction tires ensure safe traction, even with heavy trains. The finely detailed bogies and the delicate metal grab irons on the sides emphasize the high-quality design.
The triple headlights and the two red marker lights change over with the direction of travel and can be controlled digitally. The light functions also include the headlights on both sides of the locomotive that can be switched off separately and the typical double A light function. The cab and engine room lighting can be switched on digitally and provide realistic scenes by day and night.
The mfx+ decoder provides a wide range of sound functions - from the typical engine noise of the "Taiga drum" to shunting functions. The LED lighting in warm white and red ensures a harmonious appearance. An exchangeable front apron for a closed display is included. The buffer height complies with the NEM standard, which ensures maximum compatibility with other vehicles.
